Why Salvation is Our Priceless Treasure?

Salvation is the greatest blessing anyone can ever receive. It is the miracle of all miracles, far surpassing physical healing, material wealth, or worldly success. As the apostle Paul reminds us, salvation is not something we can ever earn by our own efforts. Instead, it is a magnificent gift from God, given purely by grace through faith.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV): "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast."

This gift is not merely a ticket to heaven; it's a profound rescue mission. The Bible tells us that God has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the glorious kingdom of His beloved Son.

Colossians 1:13-14 (NIV): "For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves, in whom He has redemption, the forgiveness of sins."

Because of this incredible gift, we are called to live our lives not by our fleeting feelings, but by the unchanging and eternal Word of God. Our emotions can rise and fall like the tide, but God's Word remains true and steadfast. The writer of Hebrews issues a powerful warning to us about the importance of holding fast to this truth.

Hebrews 2:1 (NIV): "We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away."

We must treasure what God has done for us and hold fast to His promises. Jesus Himself compared the kingdom of heaven to a wedding banquet, a joyous celebration where the King prepares a feast and invites His people to celebrate with Him.

Matthew 22:2-3 (NIV): "The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come."

Salvation is our personal invitation to this eternal celebration, and we should never take it for granted.

Just as a sunflower constantly turns its face toward the sun, our lives should be consistently turned toward God. In every season, whether bright and joyful or dark and difficult, we must keep our eyes on Him, drawing strength and direction from His light. At the same time, we are called to be deeply rooted and built up in Him.

Colossians 2:6-7 (NIV): "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."

When we are rooted in Christ, we become unshaken by the storms of life, able to grow strong in our faith and fruitful in every good work for His glory.

The heart of the message is simple yet profound:

  • Treasure salvation as the greatest gift you could ever receive.

  • Stand firm on the Word of God, not on your feelings.

  • Value the invitation to His eternal kingdom.

  • Turn your gaze to God like a sunflower.

  • Stay deeply rooted and built up in Him.

May we always remember and live out the truth of this priceless gift.

What is the Church?

When we think about "the church," what comes to mind? Is it a grand, ancient building? Is it simply a gathering of people? Or perhaps a social institution where friends meet and basic needs are met? W
